Women Circle

The Women Circle was created with a vision to create an open space where women in our community can come together and talk about issues that they face in their daily lives from being away from their children for a long time to the struggle of day to day lives in their jobs.

NSSP HIKING TRIPS

Hiking is a popular activity among our young high school and college students. It creates a great opportunity to interact with the environment, and give them a chance to interact with nature, and de-stress from their daily lives. 

LOSAR CHEWA CHIG

Engage elementary and middle school students and help learn about our culture and heritage through art and fun programs.

LOSAR PARTY FOR KIDS

The event was created as a way to engage future young sherpa students to be proud of their culture and heritage through fun games.

MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

NSSP started its pilot mentorship program where current professionals and college students will be working with high school juniors and seniors throughout the academic year one on one to set goals and work with them on their goals. Shout to our first cohort mentors who are amazing accomplished professionals and students with interesting bios. 

COLLEGE INFORMATION AND GAME NIGHT

This event is to help students navigate the complex admission process for both public ( SUNY and CUNY). There will a brief introduction on Common application, CUNY and SUNY application. College graduates and current college students will create an interactive program that will answer their questions and present steps for success in college followed by a fun game night. 

SAT DIAGNOSTIC TEST

While applying to colleges, SAT scores play a major role in high school students’ admittance to colleges. This program will allow high school students to take a FREE practice test bi-weekly during summer and improve their chances of getting into better colleges. 

GRADUATION NIGHT & NETWORKING NIGHT

The event was initiated with the goal to bring in expert professionals from various fields to share their professional stories and help current college students, high school students, and new college graduates. The event has panelists from diverse fields like finance, nursing, accounting, government, international aid, and computer science.
