As a charity organization, humanitarian support to the communities during natural disasters has been always one of the top most priorities of the association. The association has been responding major natural calamities such as earthquake, landslide, avalanche, and flood particularly in Nepal.
The association does not have separate fund for the humanitarian efforts, but has been collecting donations and supporting the victims whenever necessary. For instance, the Kyidug had raised about $138,000.00 in 2015 for the Nepal Earthquake Relief Fund. The fund was used in purchasing relief materials such as zinc metal sheet, tarpaulin, and food for the victims. Similarly, the victims of Everest disaster in 2012 were supported by creating Everest Disaster Relief Fund. The association was successful to raise considerable amount of donations for the families of the Disaster.
