The mass media has now accessed to each and every ones in this modern world and has great impact and influence on the mentally development for everybody. So far, sherpa language, religion and culture has not yet been access to such mass media thus, sherpa language, religion and culture have no yet influence and effect over the sherpa children and youths in one hand and on the other, our sherpa language and culture is dieing out with ageing of our senior members of sherpa community who have great knowledge of sherpa language, relgion and culture.
So what is the solution? The solution to the above problem is to increase the access for sherpa language, religion and culture into the mass media communication and to influence the sherpa children and youths. There are many important activities of sherpa organizations as well as very informative information related to sherpa language, religion and culture but unfortunately these news and information do not get any priority in the mass media communication of Nepal which is very sad for all of us. So we a group of young sherpa have merged together to address this problem and named our group "SHERPA SANCHAR SAMUHA (SHERPA MEDIA GROUP)".
Our main objectives are to train young sherpa youths on mass media communication and enroll them in hosting and conduct sherpa language programs in Radio, Television and Printed Media. At present Radio Namo Buddha Fm Kavre, Solu fm in solukhumbu and Dudkoshi Fm in solukhumbu, CJMC FM in kathmandu and Hamro Radio fm in Dolakha Charikot is hosting Sherpa language program for half an hour 1 day every weeks, this radio programs also hosting through internet www.sherpasanchar.com, Radio Nepal is hosting sherpa language program 1 hour every weeks. sherpa latter language articles are also published in gorkhapatra national dally 3 times in every month, now we had started to Publish our Sherpa Magazine NAASAM NATIONAL Monthly with include all sherpa Community's activities, promote language culture overall. but there is no sherpa program on television yet, also we will do product the sherpa language program in television soon so,The Sherpa Sachar Samuha (SHERPA MEDIA GROUP) sincerely request to all sherpa brothers and sisters to support the vision of sherpa sanchar samuha.
