सम्पूर्ण शेर्पा दाज्यु भाई तथा दिदी बहिनी हरुमा आउने शेर्पा नयाँ बर्ष डुक लो २१३९ को टाशी देलेग तथा अग्रिम शुभकामना ! हाम्रो शेर्पा परम्पर अनुसार हरेक बर्षको सुरुमा गरिने ल्हप्सो पूजा यस् पाली ( दावा थाङ्बु छेवा ङा, February 26th Sunday ) वाल्डेनको नयाँ ठुलो गोम्बा भित्र हुने छ र पुरानो गोम्बा भित्र बच्चाहरु खेल्ने अथवा बच्चाहरुको कार्यक्रम गरिने छ । पूजा बिहान नौ बजे सुरु हुने छ ।
Children’s Program :
The program will be organized by educational specialist and Dharma student of Venerable Khenpo Kalsang Gyaltsen, Christa M. Tinari, M.A. of Peace Praxis Educational Services.
Ms. Tinari’s Experience: Ms. Tinari has directed child care, educational, and camping programs for students of all ages, since 1993. Formerly a high school Student Assistance Counselor, YMCA Youth and Family Programs Director, and Bullying Prevention Coordinator, Ms. Tinari’s current work focuses on bullying prevention, positive discipline, and student development. She also works closely with K-12 schools, to coach classroom teachers and advise administrators to ensure safe, caring, and productive schools. Ms. Tinari is the Founder and Director of The Peaceful Schools Institute™, Certified Trainer of Trainers of the Second Step™ Violence Prevention Program, and Certified Practitioner of Life Space Crisis Intervention™ counseling program for students. She is a popular conference speaker on educational topics, and has presented most recently at the International Bullying Prevention Association Conference and the International Association of University Presidents’ Triennial. Ms. Tinari is Adjunct Instructor at the College of Education, Temple University, and she holds a B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in International Peace Studies and Conflict Resolution, with a concentration in Education.
Children’s Program Description: The children’s program will consist of opportunities for the children to make new friends, celebrate the New Year with traditional Sherpa customs, and practice the Dharma. We also encourage parents to speak to their children about the meaning of the celebration before arriving at the Temple.
The 2012 schedule had been designed to offer activities that are of interest to both younger and older children, and both boys and girls. The schedule and staffing has been arranged so that we may offer simultaneous indoor and outdoor activities, allowing the children a choice of participation. The schedule is as following:
9-10 am
Arrival: Enter the temple with parents to make offerings and receive blessings,
Overview of program rules,
Watch prayer flag raising,
Make paper flower shrine offerings,
Water color painting: The 8 Auspicious Symbols
3-5 pm
Watch Sacred Dance,
Pin the Tail on the Yak,
Soccer/kickball,
Bubbles & sidewalk chalk,
Drawing contest.
NOTE: The parents have to look after their children under 5 years old.

शेर्पा नयाँ बर्ष डुक लो २१३९ को टाशी देलेग !
शेर्पा समुदायहरूमा यसपालीको लोह्सार पर्वको बिषयमा ठुलो अन्योल रहेको देखियो, कोहि लोह्सार धुमधामका साथ त कोहि शोकपुर्ण मान्ने र कोहि नमान्ने भन्ने तप्काहरू पनि देखियो । शेर्पा किदुग युएईको पनि यस बिषयमा ध्यान जानु स्वभाविक नै हो । ३४ औ ठुल्शिक रिन्पोच्छेको दुखद देहान्तसँग जोडिएको हो र हामीले साँच्चै ठुल्शिक रिन्पोच्छे प्रति पनि अन्तरआत्मा देखि नै निस्वार्थ रुपले श्रद्धा व्यक्त गरेका छौ । तर जब हामीले उहाँलाई अवतारीको रुपमा पनि मानी आएका र मानिरहेका छौ भने उहाँको चिर शान्तिको कामना गर्नु र शोकमा डुब्नु आफैमा मेल खाने कुरा भने पक्कै होइन, यदि उहाँलाई हामीले अवतारीको रुपमा नै मानेको हो भने त उहाँको अमरतालाई हामीले स्वीकार गर्नु पर्छ र उहाँको देहान्त भएपछि शिघ्र पुनर्जन्मको लागि कामना गर्नु पर्दछ । बिगतमा पनि धेरै रिन्पोच्छेहरूको देहान्त र पुनर्जन्म हुँदै आएको सर्वबिदितै छ तर लोह्सार नै नमान्ने वा शोकपुर्ण लोह्सार मनाउने भन्ने पहिले कहिल्यै न त सुनियो न देखियो नै, बरु लोह्सार मनाउन हुन्न भन्नेहरूलाई ठाउँ ठाउँ क्रिस्मस र २०१२ को पार्टीहरूमा झुमीरहेको पनि देखियो । मरल परलमा बर्खी बार्ने र साल भरि नै शोक मनाउने शेर्पाहरूको परम्परा थिएन र हुदैन पनि, यो त हाम्रो शेर्पा समुदायमा बाहुनबादी परम्परा हावी हुन खोजेको र धर्मलाई राजनितिकरण गर्न खोजिएको जस्तो मात्र देखिन्छ र बाहुनबादलाई युएईका शेर्पाहरूले आफू भित्र कुनै पनि हालतमा हावी हुन दिने छैन् । तसर्थ बुद्ध धर्मावालम्बीहरूको महान पर्व नयाँ बर्ष लोसारलाई हर्षोल्लाषमय रुपमा मनाउने भन्ने कुरामा शेर्पा किदुग युएईमा दुईमत नरहेको र कार्यक्रम पूर्वनिर्धारित तालिका अनुसार नै हुने जानकारी सम्बन्धित सबैमा अवगत गराउन चहान्छौ ।
