Message of Condolence from United Sherpa
Association (Sherpa Kyidug), New York
United Sherpa Association, U.S.A, mourns the
loss of Sir Edmund Hillary who passed away on
Jan 10, 2008 in Auckland City Hospital at the
age of 88. A true hero of the Sherpa People
and a good human being. It is a day of sadness
and a great loss for the entire Sherpa Community.
He will be greatly missed.
Our Prayers and thoughts are with the families
of Sir Edmund Hillary. May the departed soul
rest in peace.

Network of Sherpa Students and Professionals (NSSP) offers its heartfelt condolences to Lady Hillary, Peter Hillary and their families.
The death of Sir Edmund Hillary is a profound loss to the Sherpa Community. He was a true father figure to our community. Sir Edmund Hillary was a role model and a great human being. He carried himself with great humility despite his international prestige and heroic achievements.
The Sherpa community will always be grateful
to Sir Edmund Hillary for the tremendous impact
he had on the upliftment of Sherpas in the
Solukhumbu region. His generosity and devotion
to the Sherpa people has helped transform
the lives of thousands of Sherpas.
Thank you Sir Ed. You will always live on in our hearts.
