५० वषर्ीय मित्र सिंजाली कुवेतको नेपाली समाजमा चिनिएका व्यक्ति हुन् । गुल्मीको रिडी बजार मूल घर -हाल भैरवहा) भएका सिंजाली २५ वर्षघिदेखि खाडी मुलुकका विभिन्न ठाउ“मा रह“दै-बस्दै आएका छन् । उनी सुरुका १० वर्षसंयुक्त अरबको दर्ुबई र पछिल्ला १६ वर्षकुवेतमा बस्दै आएका छन् । छ वर्षता भने कुवेतमा सगरमाथा रेस्टुरा“ खोलेर नेपालीपनाको स्वाद बाढ्दै आएका मित्र यो ठाउ“का लागि 'अवैतनिक राजदूत' सरह छन्, नेपालीहरूका लागि । उनीस“गको कुराकानी संक्षेपमा-

अरूतिर हेरी यहा“को नेपाली समाज त्यति राम्रो अवस्थामा छैन । चेतनाका दृष्टिले पछौटे र असंगठनात्मक समाज छ यहा“ । यहा“सम्म आउन जसरी जुन बाटो भए पनि उपयोग गर्ने र 'पछाडिको बाटो' भए पनि आउने प्रवृत्तिले धरै कठिनाईसमेत देखिएको छ ।
कुवेत सरकारले मृत्युदण्ड सुनाएकी डोल्मा शर्ेपाका बारेमा तपाईलाई पछिल्लो जानकारी के छ ?
हो, मैले अनेक प्रयासमा डोल्मालाई दर्ुइपटक जेलमा भेट्ने मौका पाएको छु । ती भेटमा केही खानेकुरा, लत्ताकपडासमेत दिए । प्रहरी प्रमाण र अदालती निर्ण्र्ााआधारमा उनलै फिलिपिनो युवतीलाई हत्या गरेकै पुष्टि भएको छ । मृतक युवतीको हातमा भेटिएको कपालको डीएनए परीक्षणमा डोल्माको डीएनए मिल्दो देखियो । अब यसबेला एउटै बाटो भनेको 'ब्लड मनी' हो । मृतक युवतीका घरपरिवारले माग्ने ब्लड मनी बुझाउन सकेमा डोल्माको जीवन रक्षा हुन सक्ने देखिन्छ । तर यसका लागि पहल गर्ने समय एकदमै थोरै रहेकाले जतिसक्दो चाडो सरकारी पहल थालिनर्ुपर्छ । ब्लड मनी उठाउनका लागि गैरआवासीय नेपाली संघलगायतले अभिरुचि देखाएका छन्, यसमा तदारुकता हुनर्ुपर्छ । अझै ढिलाइ हुने हो भने डोल्माको जीवन बचाउमा असफल बनिने संकेत देखा परिसकेको छ ।

परराष्ट्र प्रवक्ता हीराबहादुर थापाले सरकारले ४ लाख रुपैया“ 'सिड मनी' स्वरूप छुट्याएको र अरू ४ लाख रुपैया“ माइती नेपाललगायत संस्थाहरूबाट तत्काल प्राप्त हुने आश्वासन आएको बताए । 'नेपाली नियोगमा पत्राचार गरेका छौं, विदेशमा बस्ने नेपाली र संघसंस्थाको रकम नियोगमार्फ आउनेछ,' उनले भने ।

its so pity that time is running out but INGO's NGO's & even ministriy of foreign affairs , Nepalese Embasies are not clear about who is going to Open an account & which channel they are using to collect the fund, I spoke to Mr.Durga P.Bhandari (First secretery of Nepal Embassy in Belgium) and NRN President in Belgium,and the answer is they are still working on this and in couple of days we will know. Any way, Like Lukla_ Lakpa is colecting money in the U.S ,we can already collect & make it ready to send to any responsible one.

Non-Resident Nepali Association
PRESS RELEASE
February 20, 2008
The Non-Resident Nepali Association has established Save Dolma Sherpa Fund. The Fund established with the initiative of NRNA Women’s Forum has Ms. Usha Sharma and Mr. Tenzi Sherpa as joint coordinators. The Non-Resident Nepali association appeals to the Nepalis residing across the globe to contribute to the Fund. The Non Resident Nepali Association’s National coordination councils are requested to coordinate the fund raising activities in the respective countries.
The NRNA will use the fund collected in consultation with the government to meet the expenses associated with defending the case in the court of law and meet other expenses to save the life of Dolma Sherpa and other Nepalis in similar condition.
Here I am to inform you of the progresses made so far by the Non Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA).I would like to request you all to join NRNA in the campaign to save Dolma. All are requested to contribute in saving the life of our sister.
I am glad to announce that NRNA has already started the campaign to save Dolma Sherpa from yesterday. Although at this moment I won't be able to tell the amount, we are expecting significant amount of donation from all national coordination councils over the world (There are 39 presently).
NRN Russia has already collected more than 3,000 USD in a day. NRN national coordination councils in Australia, UK, Korea, Japan has already begun the fund Collection.
We are all very much concerned and are hurrying to hire the lawyer immediately. We have asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) to promptly open an account in middle east (Saudi Arabia) to collect the fund. MOFA has committed that we will be informed of the AC number as soon as possible. We are expecting to know the account number in a day or two.
When I was in Nepal last week and visited MOFA to meet Mr. Hira Bahadur Thapa (Foreign vice-secretary) who is in charge of Dolma case, I was informed that "Seed Money" of 4 lakh rupees now prepared for Dolma is all the financial help government can provide. MOFA has requested all to cooperate and contribute to save Dolma. Mr. Thapa informed that MOFA is also working in close coordination with Phillipino government to find the dead Phillipino woman's family.
Just a while ago I had a telephone talk with Mr. Phurba Sherpa who is a brother of Dolma's father in law (Kaakaa sasuraa). He mentioned that a lady has just come back from Kuwait who met Dolma and during their meet Dolma told her that she didn't kill the Phillipino lady but a man killed and accused her of the murder. Mr. Phurba Sherpa and Tenzing Sherpa (husband of Dolma)are now trying to meet her.
Let's join our hands together and save our sister Dolma.

Its about time that we take a step to SAVE our own DOLMA SHERPA.
As we all are aware of the situation of one of our own sister Ms. Dolma Sherpa, whose clock is ticking even faster to death, I would like to draw your attention one more time. Ms. Dolma Sherpa is in the mouth of death and her son is in a foster home, thinking his mother will return home one day with lot of money to make the whole family happy. Well, the fact is, the little boy is unaware of what is going to happen to his mother and where his future is heading to.
Dear all, various efforts of has been approached by lots of Nepali friends and organizations. As we all know from the previous press releases, the Nepalese community in Germany has started to collect funds from all those individuals and best wishers and has gained a massive world wide support. I would like to let everybody know, that this campaign is for all interested individuals who wish to see a work being done rather than follow procedures and talk.
At least we all want to see Ms. Sherpa back in Nepal and reunite with her family. For this we appeal our Nepali Diasporas to help in any means, morally or financially to promote this campaign. For financial help, if anyone wants to help Ms. Dolma's cause, please forward the help in the following account. This is completely a voluntary campaign and no body is obliged to contribute for this cause, neither organizations nor individuals.

We Sherpa’s have been quiet and always oppressed; I guess being quiet is good but not being oppressed. Lets unite as a team for this genuine case to save one of our own. People all over the world are raising funds for this cause and a lot of them are not Sherpa’s. If we as a team don’t take a collective step right now, no matter what the Kyidug achieves, we will always and truly be embarrassed when we meet another Nepali outside of our community.
All I just wanted to update you on the fund raising progress done in other countries. Its about time that we US Sherpa's/Nepalese showed some support to this global campaign as well. Lets not be late in saving someone's life.

Dolma is a Sherpa and is a Non Resident Nepali (NRN). Non Resident Nepalese Association (NRNA) is conducting this global campaign to rescue a NRN from death.
Save Dolma Camapaign is being conducted in UK, Germany, Australia, Israel, South Korea, Japan, Russia, China, Hongkong, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Nigeria and many other countries.
