To parents of High School Students (preferably in grade 9-11):
The Network of Sherpa Students and Professionals (NSSP) is pleased to be facilitating Tsering Sherpa's MPA Project. As part of her MPA Project, Tsering Sherpa and NSSP volunteers will be available every weekend to mentor and provide guidance to high school students in their educational development.
We would like to invite all high school students and their parents to an orientation session for this Outreach program:
Location: Sherpa Kyidug Office, Jackson Heights
Date: Sunday, January 27th, 2008
Time: 4:00 PM - 4:30 PM
During this session, Tsering Sherpa will explain to parents how the outreach program will benefit Sherpa High School Students in addressing their educational needs (college search, college application process and counseling) and school work (home-works, presentations, projects).
We request all parents and students to be present at the Kyidug's office ahead of time as we will start the program at 4PM SHARP. Sherpa Kyidug has other meetings scheduled throughout the day at their office so we only have a limited time for the session.
We are committed to improving the educational experience of Sherpa students. Education is the key to success and Tsering's program is designed to help Sherpa students achieve their goals.
