Tsewang Lama Jee, I am agree on your above posted opinion but How about yourself? I think If you withdrow your nomination first then other will inspire from your great effort to Sherpa communiti in NYC.
I am apology for unknowingly posted my opinion .I am sorry Stewang Jee, I did not read your previous statement so, I din't know that you had withdrow your nomination. Please forgive me thinking as unmature Sherpa bro. thank you
Thuchitsey, Thuchitsey, and Thuchitsey to above members who withdrew their names as candidates for the Board of Trustee. You have exemplified your greatness.
Now, we only need 4 more wonderful members who can join with the greatness of above to withdraw their names. In this way, we can free our hard working board members of kyidug with the burden to conduct an election, AND move forward to raise funds for the Sherpa Culture Center, which is the only and the most important job for all of us..
I am very, very optimistic that 4 more great souls will come forward to withdraw their names very soon. Therefore, I would like to request the Kyidug, and all to start focusing on how best we can reach to all the Sherpas in New York, and beyond for their participation in raising funds for the Sherpa Culture Center.
Please, please remember that WE ARE ALL LEADERS of our community, as long as we accomplish our common goal, which is to buy/build a Sherpa Culture center in New York. Great leaders accomplish common goal, NOT A SELF-CENTERED-INTEREST. As a member of our community, all of us should think of moving together with the community, not with the intention to rule the community as “a leader”.
I would also like to thank danny04 for his wonderful effort in creating a healthy environment in our community with his views. danny04, who ever you are, I think you are not a “unmature Sherpa bro”, but a very matured wonderful true Sherpa brother to me.
I would also like to request to those wonderful trustee members, who at the end will be uncontested
“ BOARD MEMBERS OF TRUSTEE”, please, please try to bring at least ONE more, just ONE more name on September 23, at the meeting, who will become a trustee member by donating $5000.00 for the Sherpa Culture Center. In this way, on that day alone, you will accomplish raising another $ 85,000.00 fund. This would be a wonderful beginning and what a wonderful display of leadership you would examplify to the community. Thuchitsey. Tsewang Sherpalama
Once again, Thuchitsey to all those who withdrew their candidacy in favor of an uncontested formation of board of trustee.
Now we need one more to show his/her sacrifice in withdrawing the name from candidacy for our community harmony. Our community harmony and unity and achieving the goal to buy/build Sherpa Culture Center, is much more important then holding “a position of prestige”.
To those who decide not to withdraw their candidacy, I would like to congratulate in your determination in wanting to take the opportunity to serve our community. We appreciate your desire. Therefore, please make sure to yourself that you can in fact devote your time to carry on the responsibility to accomplish the goal of building Sherpa culture Center in New York. If you are not sure weather you can give needed time to complete the project, you will be doing a great favor to our community, if you don’t become just a NUMBER of MEMBER in the board of Trustee. Still there is time to respectfully withdraw your candidacy and support the project in unity.
Wow! Who now can say, that there is no mutual understanding, unity and harmony in the Sherpa community in New York? This should be a great example, to all the Sherpa communities around the world, to how we as a Sherpa can and should work together in unity, for a united cause, for a united Sherpa community.
Thuchitsey to all those who withdrew their names and to those who are now uncontested to serve as a board member of the Trustee. Working together to achieve our goal is what leadership is all about.
I would like to congratulate board members of Sherpa Kyidug in handling this matter with such a wonderful start. There are those who contributed $ 5000.00 and more for the Sherpa Culture Center, and that is great. But, there are still many more who want to, can and will contribute lot more if we only reach to all of them in our community, AND WE MUST REACH THEM. Big contribution and small contribution, what ever amount each member of our community is willing to contribute, must be appreciated equally and should be given equal respect. The most important thing to all of us, should be the participation from each and every member of our community, in what ever capacity one may see fit to contribute. At the end of the day, the result we all want is a Sherpa Culture Center in New York.
Now, we will soon have a uncontested board members of trustee to work together, with the board members of the Sherpa Kyidug, to move ahead to accomplish this project. Sherpa kyidug is our only community organization. All of us should support and follow the plan and direction presented by the Kyidug. All of us, as individual will have different views, and that is great. However, Kyidug can not and should not satisfy individual desires. Kyidug will and should always decide what is best for the community, AND, in my humble opinion the best for the community now is, to not west too much time in bureaucracy, but involve ALL SHERPAS and move forward with fund raising strategies, and act on it while the rod is hot.
Wow! !!!!Wonderful, wonderful . We just able to across one great obstacle. Thanks Buddha by giving knowladge to our trustee member .Those who withdrew their name you are great Yogi and all the Sherpa mass will recongnised your great sacrificed to Sherpa communiti in New York City.I hope this historical system will inspire our future generation as well as other society.we all trustee members are winer coz, now we may achive our common goal on time.I also would like to thank to Tsewang Lama Jee, who had expressed priceless advice to creat clean environment regarding Bord of Trustee Election. No matter, whoever in bord of trustee, we must have to work together......forever.....
I opted to withdraw my name because I just don't want election to take place and other the community make fun of us. Whether I am on the board or somebody else, it doesn't make any difference as long as we proceed toward our long awaited dream of owning Sherpa Community Center with rocket speed and make our community proud.
Need less to say this to the remaining enthusiastic candidates that are eager serve our community that, please, please, please look before you leap. It is a big commitment and don't forget that the Board term has been set for 5yrs.
Hello to every one. This is Nuku D sherpa from N.J.I like to Withdraw my name from Board of Trustee.I really Like to help our community but I can't because I live in New Jersey. you know the traffic in New York another thing is busy schedule of my three boys games & practises. So there are so many helpful brothers & sisters are out there.I will do some other help in future.Thank you all.
So, everyone who has withdrawn their name from the list are suppossedely great and co-opereting people huh? And the election procedure is bad. Interesting. My inner gut is telling me that, many of the very able people wanting to be chosen in the trustee board are withdrawing their names not because they feel they should co-operate but fearing their lost in the election. There is so much ego in them that they can't face the election. They will only serve as a board of trustee if they can come there through uncontested nomination. I personally wanted to see some of the people who have withdrawn their names from the list, and wanted to vote for them. but they chickened out.
So who are we left with now? not much. I see failure, failure and failure.
I was the first to withdraw my candidacy, and joined with danny-4 to appeal others to do the same in favor of an uncontested formation of board of trustee. Therefore, I am sorry, if my action becomes a cause that you could not vote for a candidate of your choice. My intention to do so was for nothing more then to create a harmonious environment in our community. So that we all can move forward to next step which is to raise more funds to achieve the goal of buying/building a Sherpa Community Center, in New York. In this way, we can all be proud of being a part of achieving the goal, together. I sincerely thought and still do believe that this was the right thing to do. If I am wrong in my action, I will sincerely apologize to you and others who share the same view.
Election is what makes democracy moving. So, I agree with you that election is not bad. But, our common goal here is to unite and mobilize each and every member of our community (eliminating controversies) to support for the project, The Sherpa Culture Center in New York. As I conveyed in my thoughts earlier, no matter who is on the board of trustee, no one can do the job without the involvement and support from all members of our community. But if, all us work together and support the cause we will succeed in achieving our goal. So I appeal to you, please don’t be disappointed, but let’s whole-heartedly support who ever is on the board of trustee. With our support they will do the job. Let’s have faith.
The following are elected ( without election) members of “ Board of Trustee” for the year 2007/12 ( 5 Years ).
