Phurba Sherpa
Born in Rangapara, Assam in India, Mrs. Phurba Sherpa
received her early education in Tejpur, Assam followed by higher education
in Kalimpong. She completed her Bachelor's degree from Kalimpong College.
After her graduation, she worked as a principal in a nursery school at
Rongo, Haldhaka. She continued her career in educational field as a teaching
assistant in Lincoln School, Kathmandu. She taught there for twelve years.
Married to Mr. Pasang Dorchee Sherpa with two daughters, Mrs. Phurba Sherpa
recently served as one of the most active board members of Sherpa Kyidug;
United Sherpa Association of New York in the post of General Secretary.
